• The Faculty do not have a proper student management system for the Faculty. PEFAA was instrumental in purchasing a software by paying annually 1000 USD as a pilot project using funds provided by the Alumni in Australia. However it is found that ready made software is not capable of handling the stringent and also ad-hoc requirement of the Faculty. So the only option is to develop such a system. For that we need to pay for a computer programmer may be for one year. The cost would be about Rs. 1.2 million

• With the advanced digital technology, the function of a class room lectures is being changed drastically. Instead of traditional teacher centered learning, flipped class room model is being promoted. Now the lectures can pre-record lectures and students study at their phase, lecturers can guide them. The classes will be used more to discuss problems. For that we need to subscribe to a lecture recording service. The Faculty needs to identify suitable technology too. Please contact PEFAA if you are interested to support this project.

• The Faculty has 21 lecture rooms and multimedia and sound facilities are installed in all lecture rooms. The Faculty is planning to install computers or laptops in each lecture room facilitating the recording of lectures as well as providing presentation through a central repository. The estimated cost is about Rs. 2.5 million. You can decide part funding too.

• The existing projector room of the theater was refurbished to make it an Audio/Visual control room bringing all cables and controllers to the room. This will facilitate to run the functions smoothly. This was completed by E69-75 batch and handed over to the Faculty on 4-10-2019 on their 50th adversary (of admission). The existing projector screen had wrinkles and hence it was replaced. A new multimedia projector with wall patch panels and A/V switcher was installed at the control room. • There is no proper stage lighting system for EOE Pereira Theater. Professional stage lighting system is required for the functions held in the theater. The estimated cost is about Rs. 3 million and may be implemented in stages spending Rs. 1 million at a time.
• The sound system of EOE Pereira Theater is more than 35 years old. It is proposed to install a professional grade array speaker system. The estimated cost is 2.5 million Rupees.
• Refurbishment of ceiling

• A/V Unit of the Faculty receives numerous requests to provide outdoor A/V facilities and recordings. However without portable A/V equipment this cannot be done. Therefore it is proposed to purchase an outdoor sound system, high power projector, screen and LED lights.

• Wash room in the structures laboratory needs major refurbishment. Click for details

• Installing automatic flushing systems in three wash rooms on the main corridor The estimated cost is Rs.200,000.

• Estimated cost is Rs.125,000

• The estimated cost is Rs. 10 million.

• At present PEFAA maintain small research funds for each department as Fixed Deposits to support student projects to buy items that cannot buy from University money (such as from ebay) where the interest is sufficient to pay about 30000 per year. Chemical Department is yet to start a Fund. You may contribute to start or improve these funds.

• PEFAA is spending about 500,000 each year (some times more) for Faculty activities. If we can have a Fixed Deposit to get that from the interest, then it is not necessary to raise funds for PEFAA regularly through fundraising activities. Out of this 500,000, we provide about 100,000 for students to participate for foreign competitions (Sports, RoboCon) or local events (Spaghetti bridge competition, Career fair etc). We may increase that share too.
